Written by I had stopped behind a car at a junction and applied the hand break. At this point the car in front pulled out onto the main road which was closed due to roadworks, he then reversed back into me, claiming I had hit him.
There is now a witness that claims that I had driven into the car in front. My insurers have now closed the claim holding me liable

I don’t get how the driver that backed into you got away with that? It just seems odd that you couldn’t prove that he backed into you.
