Should I Switch My Car Insurance From Farmers Insurance?

Please contact a licensed insurance company for advice specific to your situation.

A: I Have A Chrysler 300 and I’m Trying To Find the Best Insurance Company. Currently I have Farmers Insurance, and I’m happy with them, but it’s a carry-over from my parents insurance policy (I was more familiar with that agent)…should I switch to another insurance company?

AIS Answer: There’s nothing wrong with Farmers, they are a great company. In fact, the majority of major insurance carriers have a solid track record. However, if your concern is less about an insurance rating and customer service then it is about obtaining a lower price the only way to find a lower price is to shop around.

Try getting a few quotes online from insurance companies you know, or try an aggregate service that gives you quotes from more than 1 company,  or, contact a local independent insurance agent that can help you find the right auto insurance for you from the many companies they work with. The bottom line is you need to compare as many rates as possible, and since rates change often and getting an auto insurance quote is free, you should do at least get a few new quotes before  your auto insurance renewal period.

    1. farmers insurance is a pretty cool company. They are huge, but have great customer support and the rates are not that high. I wouldn’t switch from Farmers.
