Written by I was driving down the highway the other day and a large dumptruck hauling a load of scrap metal was in the right lane next to me.
As I was trying to pass, a piece of the scrap metal had broken loose from the stack and hit the front end of my car. At that moment (which probably had caused it) the driver of the dump truck took a right hand exit for trucks on I5, so I could not catch up with him to get his plate.
I’m lucky there wasn’t damage to the vehicle, probably only a few scrapes that I couldn’t really find. Otherwise I would have had to file the claim with my insurance company or pay the damage myself.
I keep a digital camera in my car, it’s very useful for these situations.
dude that sucks. Good thing your car didn’t get 2 much damage.
I’ve seen that before. Unless someone else saw it, it’s too hard to prove that it was that car that caused the damage.
