Overpass Concrete Fell On My Car After Backhoe Hit It

Please contact a licensed insurance company for advice specific to your situation.

I was driving on Interstate 205 through Portland just about to go under the new overpass that was being built. A semi hauling a flatbed carrying a backhoe was directly in front of me. The boom on the top of the backhoe hit the overpass sending concrete pieces crashing down on my Neon.

I was very fortunate not to be injured but the hood, roof, and trunk of my car were completely smashed along with my windshield. I immediately called my insurance agent at Allstate and they set me up with a rental car while my car was being repaired.

Within a week I had my Neon back as good as new and I didn’t have to pay for anything out of pocket. Allstate was very professional and handled everything better than I could have imagined. I am glad I had such a great agent to get me through all the mess.
