Michigan Dropping $18 Auto Insurance Fee

Please contact a licensed insurance company for advice specific to your situation.

In July of 2008 the State of Michigan will do away with an $18 fee for “Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association”.

The group claims that it was able to drop the extra $18 dollars per vehicle because it made more money in investments and existing data on medical costs were not rising as quickly as previously forecast.

The exemption is only scheduled for about one year from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009.
