State Farm has a pretty good reduction for good students, though I think it’s more of a deduction if you’re a female.
why under 25 and unmarried? That doesn’t seem fair. If you’re married it doesn’t mean you can afford higher car insurance payments and plenty of people over the age of 25 are still in college.
so that’s why I never got that discount…guess I should have studied more.
even if you get a “good student” discount, it only applies if you’re under 25, which basically means that you’re paying super high insurance rates anyway. So, sure 25% off would be great, but so would having a realistic insurance rate. See, after you turn 25 and your rates go down, the insurance company can’t afford to give you 10% – 25% off your car insurance because that was the savings they gave you when you turned 25…sneaky.
I’m pretty sure that progressive has an insurance discount as well, I don’t see them on the list.
auto insurance discounts are nothing more than an insurance company advertising that they have all this room to go lower on price, but if you don’t qualify it’s not negotiable. You should be able to negotiate your car insurance rates.
insurance companies should properly outline their discounts when applying as you shouldn’t have to ask about discounts.
