Q: I’m a younger driver and have a 2007 Ford Mustang GT. I have found it difficult to obtain inexpensive car insurance for this car. Any suggestions?
AIS Answer: A new or late model high performance sports car will always be expensive to insure compared to slower used vehicles with many safety features. There are more factors than “It goes fast” that go into your rate like the cost of replacing a damaged vehicle. A newer vehicle is substantially more expensive to replace or repair when compared to vehicles over 5 years old of the same make.
Now, what you want is to find inexpensive car insurance for your ’07 Mustang GT, and the only advice I can give would be to shop around, there are a lot of people in this same position. Get as many quotes as possible from as many companies as you can, check with your local independent car insurance agent, get quotes online and call up insurance companies you see on T.V. Some of those low cost providers can really save you some money.
