Q: How much money will I save if I combine my auto insurance with my home insurance? My agent was telling me that I could save a few hundred dollars if I combined the two insurances.
AIS Answer: Well, it’s hard to say exactly how much you could save combining an auto insurance policy and a homeowners insurance policy on one policy – but, you’re going to be better off doing that with one company than you would with two separate companies.
Auto insurance has many discounts, and combining another line of insurance like homeowners is definitely one of them. Most insurance companies are glad to get your auto business, and even more so to get multi-line business.
If you’re interested in saving money on your home and auto insurance, speak with your current insurance company or a local agent and see how much you can save. It’s likely not going to be a drastic reduction especially if you just bought a home, but, since you would need to get homeowners insurance anyway it’s definitely easier to combine the two lines.
Keep in mind. Home and auto will be billed separately. And they are two very different types of insurance. Talk to an agent about combining those policies and you may save a few hundred – maybe more, off of your current insurance bill.

yeah, that’s the only way too go. However, if you’ve got a condo it’s covered in HOA as far as I know – so you may have to get a separate insurance…I think.
