Car Accident When Other Driver Didn’t Stop At The Stop Sign
I was driving my Chevy Silverado through a small town in Oregon when I came to a four way stop. I stopped, looked both directions like usual, and continued.
Out of nowhere a Toyota Camry is in front of me and I hit the brakes but not before hitting his car. The driver gets out and starts yelling at me for not stopping and blowing through the intersection. However if I had not stopped and barreled through the intersection, the Camry would not have had minor damage but would have been thrown across the road.
My truck had no damage at all and it was the other driver who failed to stop for the sign yet the police said it was my fault for not stopping. Now on my insurance I have a record stating I have an at fault accident just by someone else lying to the police.
