Written by This is not my personal story, but my ex-gf’s insurance story about replacing her windshield for free on her policy.
She had a State Farm Insurance policy in Arizona that offered free glass protection meaning basically state farm would replace the broken glass free of charge if it was damaged and it wouldn’t come out of your deductible.
She hadn’t ever had to use the glass coverage in the 5 or so years she had the policy until one day I was driving and a rock hit the window. She called up her agent and asked what she could do and then filed a claim for damage. Within a few days I think, we had a guy come out and completely replace the window…looked good as new.
Then after I think a month her state farm agent told her that the company was dropping free glass repair. Good thing we got the window replaced while we still had coverage.
