As a customer and and customer service rep for an auto insurance company, I am on both sides of being angry for the compulsory money I must give away and the ignorance of the people who call to complain.
Much like selecting a mortgage company, it is advisable to do a little research on the company and maybe even study insurance a little. Knowledge is truly power when it comes to insurance. Your level of knowledge definitely corresponds with how much you are paying a month and your frustration with claims. Remember, the people who work for insurance companies are not the ones who want to take your money and leave you without a car. We just needed a job. And do not fall for the commercials either, most of the situations they show are in fact NOT covered. Read your policy and don’t be afraid to ask questions because in case of an accident it could save your life and your finances.
