Auto Insurance Companies Suck
Why is it that auto insurance companies are happy to sell you a policy that you can’t afford and aren’t willing to pay you when you have an accident? This is so stupid. You sit through 3 rounds of interviews about your accident and in the end you get a completely informal “We’re sorry but we’re denying your claim based on insufficient evidence”…
I thought about contacting a lawyer regarding this. The accident, was just damage to a vehicle, but either way I had to pay for the damage I didn’t cause out of my pocket. Of course this is going to come off as a biased review so I won’t name the insurance company that denied my claim, but I’m doubting this is an uncommon occurence in the industry. How else would they get all those big fancy buildings and ballparks.

insurance companies can be good and bad, it just depends on the situation. Sure, you know you weren’t at fault, but the burden of proof is on you - not the insurance company, to prove you didn’t cause the accident.
every insurance company I’ve ever been with sucks. They all suck. They take your money for providing a promise and from what I’ve seen with friends, it’s about half a promise because you either don’t get your claim paid or they lowball you on your vehicles value or damages.
You always hear great things about certain companies, but when it comes down to the matter they all need to make money at the end of the day and chances are it’s not by approving every claim that comes across their desk.
What exactly is “sufficient evidence” to approve a claim? That’s ridiculous. You file a police report, they have a record, you can file a DMV report, they’ll have a record…what is there to deny?
my insurance company sucks I need to find a new one.
Travelers Complaint
I got rear ended in my car no insurance other driver - Auto Insurance
12/21/08 I was sitting at a stop light waiting for the light to change. It was pouring down raining the car slide in the back of my car. It threw my car forward and backward along with whipping my neck with minimum damage to the car. I lived around the corner and went home instead of going to the hospital first mistake. The next morning I went to the doctor told whiplash sent home with muscle relaxers and pain pills. I called and reported it that night when I got home I started feeling bad.
Finally I was having such a hard time I got x-rays, and was told I had a disc in my cervical spine budging out. I was told after a MRI I had three discs budging. At this point Travelers was paying all the bills. I set aside the last $5000 for pain management and co pays. So they decided March 08 of last year to stop paying all bills saying not related to the car wreck. With this I had $20 co pays for Physical Therapy and had to cut this back being on a single income.
I had got a call from an agent about the pain and suffering clause on my auto policy. I had a $50,000 rider to cover pain and suffering. Well I had been in constant pain and now have a life long injury. I get a call one day at work from another agent she informed me they were going to give me a thousand dollars for my inconvenience. They didn’t think this wreck could have done anything to me. Nothing about pain and suffering just my time wasted. Needless to say I flipped out at work got upset almost had to leave. I have constant pain and now this crap from this agent. I wrote a letter stating I did not want to hear from this Adjuster again, I insisted she destroy my records release, and wanted nothing to do with her. Needless to say this did no good I still get a letter in the mail from her. My records also were sent to three different states throughout this ordeal after I asked her to destroy my records and voided my signed release to Travelers. I though HIPPA what a waste of time to put a complaint on them for violating my privacy rights or records at this point.
Seems I had a degenerative disease in my neck never knew it. I was never treated even for a headache. So I had always thought preexisting was diagnosed and treated which I had no problems whatsoever with my neck till the whiplash. The other drive had no insurance so I didn’t know about the rider on my policy till they called me or approached me by phone informing me of this. Up till this call I figured I was jerked. Little did I know it was only going to get worst with consistent calls from Adjusters who was still on an Apprentice License and not trained with common sense? I realized after I calmed down that the way this Adjuster spoke to me like she was inexperienced with that I looked her up on the Department of Insurance found she was newly licensed. I asked for a new adjuster and her boss refused. I filled a complaint with the Kentucky Department of Insurance on Travelers that was useless.
Needless to say all these Attorneys on TV saying being there for you is a joke if the other party has no insurance. I called at least eight when I found out I had the damage in the neck none would give me the time of day. The other driver had no insurance and my car was not split in half result of the impact. I now sit in constant pain with my doctor writing in notes she had never treated me for anything related to the neck or degenerative disease for ten years prior to the wreck. Another doctor wrote my neck was irritated by the car wreck still they offered me $1000.
Needless to say they sent me to their doctor and he stated whiplash and I should have been taken off all my medication after six months. Suggested I do home exercise and not go to the chiropractor anymore. The whiplash had nothing to do with the degenerative disease. I should be slowing taken off my current medication for pain.
I still have not settled with Travelers and can not understand the concepts that you are required to carry auto insurance by law. Then when you are injured they call you wave a $50,000 rider in your face then slap you in the face and offer you $1000. They moved it up to $3800 recently I guess it is looking bad sitting on their books. I will never settle with them for any amount petty amount and will let it sit open on their books.
I am 46 years old my life totally on hold waiting for the day I pee on myself or my arms go limp to where I will be rushed to surgery have three disc in my neck fused together with a metal plate in hopes that will stop the pain and give me feeling in my arms or legs again. The auto insurance industry is criminal and the law protects and allows them treat people like this. I would like to see someone step up help consumers with large Companies such as Travelers taking your money and then slapping you in the face. I have had consistent agents over the last two years so basically your records are passed from person to person from state to state.
I would like to see a consumer agency sit up to help people with auto insurance companies after a claim is filed. Not that we don’t believe this happened to you a result of this wreck. Publicity I would like to see legislation set up to protect the consumers. I see no reason for anyone to carry auto insurance to cover their body or car. Since they will say it was already there the wreck did not do this. We will give you a thousand dollars and that is it for your car or your neck. Only carry car coverage for the other person so they can argue and fight with them. Use your personal health insurance do not turn in your auto if you are in a wreck.
This is a rip off if President Obama wants to help America clean up the insurance companies who are ruling the world and have 70% of the wealth of this country. Set limits on what Insurance Companies can do and can not do.
I give up and sit here on pain medication watching President Obama speaking on TV about health insurance. It is all insurance that needs to have government intervention not just health but auto insurance that has a health insurance rider on most all of the policies sold. No one will help me.

All auto insurance companies are good until you file a claim. Then the rip you up! If you are wealthy they will work with you if you are not they treat you like trash. It is all based on who you are and how much your are worth. The power of money and social status go hand and hand with auto insurance companies paying out claims.
